Throwing a Party? Need Some Gluten Free Dips?

I've been annoyed in the past at the number of dips and spreads that add wheat flour as a thickener, making them off limits at our house.

Dips are one of the most versatile party foods.  They can be put out with crackers, veggies, chips or bread to add variety and flavour to a gathering without getting too expensive.

But guess what?  Many Summer Fresh Dips are gluten free!

This variety pack included Artichoke and Asiago Dip, Spinach Dip, Hummus Chick Pea Spread and Roasted Red Pepper Hummus.  But a quick visit to their website FAQ page and it was confirmed for me that there are A TON of gluten free options.

Just a few listed: 10 different kinds of hummus, 18 different dips, 2 salsas, bruschetta, baba ghanouj, tahini and tapenade.  A dip lover's dream!

Since my son cannot have those with dairy our choices are more limited, but not by much.  From the pack above, he devoured the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus with carrot and cucumber sticks.  The consistency and flavour of all the spreads we tried were great, and the cost for the party pack was somewhere around $6 for 4 different dips.

As I was looking around the website, I learned a few interesting facts.  The FAQ page also lists lactose free, vegan, and Health Check Options.  Also, Summer Fresh Salads is a local Ontario business, located in Woodbridge Ontario.

I like supporting local companies, and this one makes it easy with their delicious, gluten free options.
