Lest We Forget

Today is Remembrance Day in Canada, where we remember those who sacrificed (and continue to sacrifice) their lives so that we can live in a peaceful and free society.

Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII, and although both have since passed, I love that there is a day to honour their service.  I don't have any family members who currently serve in the Armed Forces, so it's easy for me to forget sometimes that thousands of families in Canada do have relatives who are on active duty.  They certainly deserve our thanks on more than just one day each year.

Thank you for your bravery, dedication and sacrifice.  My son is safer because of you.
