One step forward (a potty training saga)

I mentioned a short time ago that I'm beginning toilet training with my son now that he's turned two.  He understands the concept, loves flushing the toilet and has bladder control, so it's time.  He's still not keen on actually using the toilet, although he loves lounging around on it, singing songs or flipping through books.  Then he panics when the urge to go actually hits!  We've had a few successes, but they were more of the accidental variety than the intentional kind.

The step forward today came when I went to put him in a diaper to go out this afternoon, and he refused.  He ran to his room and grabbed a pull up (which we refer to as underwear because he can pull them up and down himself) and insisted on wearing underwear like a big boy.  Progress!

Let's see where we go from here...
