Menu Plan

I was sick this weekend, so my husband put together the menu plan and cooked for most of the week.  Here's what he put together:

Dinner Menu

Monday: Stir fried rice noodles with chicken, carrot, and bean sprouts
Tuesday: Homemade pizza with mushrooms
Wednesday: Curry turkey breast with dal makhani (lentils with ginger, cream and spice) and rice **ours will be with a cream substitute
Thursday: Quinoa vegetable soup and salad with hard boiled eggs
Friday: Baked chicken on a bed of pasta and rapini

  1. I'm impressed with your menu plan and I envy your organization skills, seriously. Do you batch cook on weekends?
    I just can't get it together enough to be organized so am always looking for tips. (-:

  2. Thanks Ado! The menu planning was actually born out of necessity when we realized that my son couldn't eat most of what was being served at daycare because of the gluten issue. I began planning for the sake of my sanity!

    I usually cook on Sunday afternoons during his naptime, and I make whatever can realistically be made ahead and then cook whatever I can't make ahead the night of. I'm addicted to it now because it makes dinner prep time quicker. It has also cut down on cleanup time because my kitchen really only gets dirty on Sunday.
